Biography of Shiromani Dawadi

Shiromani Dawadi is a well-known media name, podcaster, performing artist, and trainer who has worked for many years in the Nepali media industry. He originated from Pakali, Sunsari, and is currently living in Kageswori Manohara, Kathmandu. Shiromani has established a career over two decades in television theatre and performing arts and is revolutionizing journalism, radio, and television media.

Early Life and Education

Shiromani continued his academic study for a Master of Arts in Development Communication at P.U. in 2068 B.S. (2011 A.D.). He is also currently undertaking his PhD study at the Prince of Songkhla University in Thailand, with an interest in both media and climate. Enhancement of media foundation through professional training. He also completed a one-year journalism course from the Nepal Press Institute and completed one-month acting training from Kala Pratisthan.

Professional Journey

Shiromani has great experience in the media field, where he worked as Chief Editor for Automobile Monthly Magazine and Kawach Spiritual Magazine as well. Currently, he has been working as a station manager at Radio Annapurna Nepal since 2078 B.S. (2021 A.D.) and has leadership positions in various television stations, namely Bhaktidarshan TV and Him Shikhar TV. He has also written for several print media houses in different capacities, including a subeditor/editor and a news reader.

Apart from media professionals, Shiromani has continuously trained in more than 200 workshops on radio, television, and performing art for 65 districts of Nepal. His training experience has been with different organizations, such as Deepshree Creative Media, Janas Media Link, and The Media Development Centre.

Performing Arts

As a performing artist, Shiromani has displayed his talents in many soaps, films, and street dramas performed in Nepal, including Titekareli, Gharbeti Ba, and Jire Khursani soaps. He has also featured in different television commercials for audiovisuals of brands including Coca-Cola and Century Cement, among other things. He has also acted in so many music videos. As a master of ceremonies, he has performed in various national and international stage events.

Contributions to Society

Shiromani shows a lot of interest in social issues and has served various organizations in their pivotal position. He is the founder and president of the Rural Arts Culture & Development Board and former chairperson of the ACTION Development Centre. One of the theorems summarizing his professional practice indicates that promoting cultural and environmental values has been possible through his work as a media advisor to community projects.

Personal Life

Shiromani Dawadi is legally a married man with Pabitra Paudel as his wife, and they blessed him with a daughter and a son. His family also lives with his parents in Kathmandu, so they have close relationships with each other. His career has taken him to 35 countries, broadening his insight and improving his global media input.
